Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist Her parents were Jewish parents from the Soviet Union and started her career as a child actress when she immigrated to the United States. From 2013 to 2016, she worked as the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams, and since 2020. Her fame was boosted due to her appearances in TV commercials. She was a regular host on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub has also been voiced as Squirrel Girl on the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after being chosen to voice Squirrel Girl in the unaired TV pilot for New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. When she was just two, she immigrated together with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She settled in West Hollywood. Due to financial hardships within the family, she began performing in Mattel Barbie commercials when she was just five years old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. However, she quit school after her sophomore years. She earned an GED and later was able to earn an undergraduate degree in Arts (Communication) from the University of California San Diego. Vayntrub was a student of improv comedy in the Upright Citizens Brigade.
